Instructions:

When the Riven.ZIP file contents are extracted the 3 Logo images

will automatically be placed in the following:

Riven Logo.sys - C:\

Riven LogoW.sys - C:\Windows

Riven LogoS.sys - C:\Windows

*NOTE* If you are looking in C:\ or C:\Windows and don't see any ".SYS"

files it is probably because you need to set your windows explorer to

"view all files (and file extensions)." To do this simply go to "view"

in windows explorer, then select "options" then click the "show all files"

and if you need to, uncheck "hide msdos file extensions..." And put these

settings back when you are done installing your logos! :)

Before proceeding further, backup your original Windows Logo files!

For simplicity's sake rename the Windows logos as follows,

(or name them whatever you want as long as you can remember their new names.):

1. Rename these files to the following:

Filename & Change:

Logo.sys changes to WinLogo.sys

Final Location:

2. Now you can proceed to install the Riven StartUp and Shutdown

screens! (Remember the new Riven files are already extracted

to the proper locations!) Rename these files to the following:

Filename & Change:

Riven Logo.sys changes to Logo.sys

Final Location:

And you're done! The three files are:

Logo.sys is the startup screen

Logow.sys is the "shutting down computer" screen

Logos.sys is the "Shut down complete" screen

To uninstall these logos, just reverse these instructions!

This theme comes with an extra fonts. These fonts must be installed

separately. Once the other files have been extracted to their appropriate locations, will have been extracted to "C:\Temp" automatically.

Instructions:

1. Press the "Start" button.
2. Select "settings."
3. Now select "control panel."
4. Inside control panel, select and open "fonts."
5. Inside your fonts controls, select "file" then "install new fonts."
6. Inside the "add fonts" window choose the appropriate drive, (usually c:\) then scroll to the directory called Temp on c:\, (C:\Temp).
7. Now press the button "select all."
8. Now press the button "OK"
9. Lastly, the "add new fonts" window will close automatically once the fonts have been added, once this has happened you may close the "fonts" window and your "control panel" return to normal computing.

This file contains icons generated from graphics found on the www,

animated cursors generated from files found on the www. The sound files were obtained in other forms from the www also.

We edited the wavs for optimal use as the accompanying sound scheme. The desktop wallpaper in this zip file was scanned and edited by us.

This file was made solely as an attempt by myself and my brother to create our own desktop environment. No copyright infringement is intended and we do not take credit for any intellectual properties contained within this zip file. We only take credit for our hard work.
